Why Choose Airstream Breaks at Coastal Valley?

Why choose us for your Glamping Holiday?

What really sets us apart?

Somehow, you always know when something feels right….

We spent a long time, a very long time, trying to find a suitable site for the Airstream – reading the reviews in Cool Camping, visiting sites, going back to old favourites, but none of them were quite right. Some were just too commercial, some were in the wrong place, at some, the facilities weren’t up to scratch, or the owners just plain didn’t seem to be that worried about providing a good service.

It was therefore an absolute delight when we came across Tanya & Andy at Coastal Valley, read their wonderful reviews, and then went down to see them – everything in the reviews was true! As well as the warm and friendly welcome, what really stood out was their desire to make the site REALLY fantastic – and they shared our love of Airstreams!!

A small family site with a big atmosphere

That’s their strapline, and it sums things up rather nicely. It is small, but large enough for the kids to meet other kids, and enjoy the freedom of playing and exploring a lovely country environment. Happy kids, relaxed parents.

And couples don’t need to feel left out either – there aren’t hoards of children running amok, and the pitches are spacious enough for you to just relax in your own space, or mingle with fellow campers as you see fit.

Whoever you come with though, we’re sure you’ll love this haven of tranquility, and will find the facilities to be top-notch!

Superb Service

Many of the reviews talk about how friendly and helpful Tanya and Andy are, ranging from waiting at the gate for guests to arrive, helping with tent pitching, repairing an airbed, or just making sure that caravan hookups were working. Here’s a couple of reviews from happy campers – visit Coastal Valley Camp & Crafts to read the rest.

“We missed saying good bye to you last night, but just wanted to say thank you for such a fantastic week. We thoroughly enjoyed our camping experience with you – brilliant campers chalet and hot showers and lovely people!! Your welcome was lovely and we all had a fab time!”
“From the moment we got to Coastal Valley it was obvious that this would be a great camp site. The owner was waiting for us on his bike by the gate (and had been there for a while). We arrived a bit late and he helped pitch our tent, something we saw him do several times for others too. The setting is stunning, peaceful, with cows grazing on one side and a stream on the other. The communal night with stone baked pizzas sold from a reconditioned vintage horse-trailer is such a great idea and really brought people together. There were no loose dogs, no mess, no noisy or annoying children (but a few friendly and fun ones) and no unreasonable noise (apart from perhaps the sounds of us chatting with other campers until the early hours). Having a well-equipped kitchen in a little hut on site meant that even in the rain, camping was fun. The gorgeous beach at Watergate Bay was a lovely 20 minute walk and Tanya and Andy were incredibly helpful in pointing us to the good pubs, restaurants, coastal walks and surf spots around. Our only problem was that we didn’t stay for long enough. Next year we will be back for at least two weeks!
Last words: if Carlsberg did camp-sites..”

Making it the best site on the planet!

Some sites rest on their laurels, doing just what they need to make the site workable, but then not improving it over time. Not so at Coastal Valley! An example is the new toilet block – the old ones were very characterful and clean (and actually very well-liked by campers), but possibly not quite sufficient if the site was full, so Tanya & Andy decided to replace them with a totally new block, better equipped, and stunningly stylish!

Nice touches too like having visiting caterers come to the site on selected evenings during the week in peak season so that you don’t have to cook, or the arts and crafts workshops, or the ‘kitchen hut’ where unfortunate souls in tents can cook standing up!
